A few questions/comments
edit- "The Treehouse of Horror are a series of episodes in the animated series The Simpsons." Is that grammatically correct? It reads a little weird.
- No, that doesn't work. How about.... "The Treehouse of Horror episodes are the annual Halloween specials in the animated series The Simpsons. Each episode consists of three separate, self-contained segments, which usually involve the Simpson family in some horror, science fiction, or supernatural setting." - Zagalejo's suggestion sounds good to me. Risker (talk) 01:38, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

- I know some have complained about putting random images with TFAs, but I really liked the one that was added with the request. It would really add to the main page.
- It's a cool image, but a little too out of focus and with the colours bleeding a bit too much for main page, I think. Risker (talk) 01:38, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
- I actually really like this image and I think it is perfect. Cirt (talk) 01:42, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

- "and the newest episode, "Treehouse of Horror XIX", is scheduled to air on November 2" I'm not sure if that should be in there, some might claim that it's advertising.
- How about "The next episode in the series, TH XIX, is scheduled..." I think you can get away with that one. Risker (talk) 01:38, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
- Agree with Scorpion0422 (talk · contribs), not sure this bit of text is appropriate/necessary. Cirt (talk) 01:45, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

- In the article, I changed "horror and science fiction films" to "horror, science fiction and fantasy films", you may want to change it here too.
- "horror, science fiction or supernatural settings" seems to be fine, I think Risker (talk) 01:38, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

- "The first Treehouse of Horror episode aired on October 25, 1990 as part of the second season" Maybe it should be changed to "The first episode, "Treehouse of Horror", aired on ..." or "The first Treehouse of Horror episode That way, you can link to the first episode.
- I could go either way on this one, there are a good number of wikilinks already, so balance will be important. Risker (talk) 01:38, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Either way, things look pretty good. -- Scorpion0422 21:15, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
A few minor (minor) tweaks, not sure if I should just do them though... first, can we change the sentence:
"The episodes are known for being far more violent and much darker than an average Simpsons episode."
to read:
"The episodes are known for being significantly darker and more violent than an average Simpsons episode."
Second, can we split the sentence:
"As of 2008, there are 18 Treehouse of Horror episodes, with one airing every year, and the newest episode, "Treehouse of Horror XIX", is scheduled to air on November 2."
into two sentences:
"As of 2008, there are 18 Treehouse of Horror episodes, with one airing every year. The newest episode, "Treehouse of Horror XIX", is scheduled to air on November 2."
Thoughts? --Ckatzchatspy 19:10, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
- TFA-day is almost over in a few hours, I don't think these changes are necessary. Cirt (talk) 19:15, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
