concern about "Welcome v2.0"

edit

This newly-added template is colorful, which is nice.

The closing line, though, is confusing. Why direct new users specifically to other new users?

“If you want to get other Wikipedians' attentions, go to the New user log.”

Why is this extra text, (add |{{PAGENAME}}|''yourusername}}.), in the table? Also, there seems to be something wrong with the template because the table formatting is broken. —Travistalk 12:13, 17 July 2007 (UTC) ...heading off to check template codeReply
Removed from table. Λυδαcιτγ 17:24, 17 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Userbox

edit

Do we have a user box? A 10 fireplane (talk) 14:21, 24 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Sure we do, A 10 fireplane: see Wikipedia:Welcoming_committee#Welcoming_Committee_Userbox. The rest of that page will be worth looking over too – it's the main project page: Noyster (talk), 14:34, 24 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

'Problem User' Welcome Templates

edit

I have been welcoming users recently and really like how the 'Problem User' welcome templates are written as they they welcome the user politely but still get across the rules. I have found that these do not exist (or I can't find in Twinkle) for IP accounts. Am I correct? RhinosF1 (talk) 08:12, 6 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

@RhinosF1: Do you mean you can't find the problem welcomes at all when warning IPs, or are you wanting IP-specific versions of the problem welcomes? - BilCat (talk) 08:46, 6 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
IP-specific versions of the problem welcomes. I am aware of a few but there not as specific as the registered user versions. RhinosF1 (talk) 09:13, 6 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
OK, thanks for clarifying. I don't know of any IP-specific problem welcomes either. either. You might try using both an IP-specific welcome and a problem-user welcome. I've done that before myself. - BilCat (talk) 09:32, 6 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
@BilCat: Is there anywhere to suggest them? RhinosF1 (talk) 15:06, 6 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I don't know. - BilCat (talk) 00:26, 7 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thanks anyway, (if anyone else has an idea ping me) RhinosF1 (talk) 17:04, 7 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
