editWikipedia:WikiProject AP Biology 2010 We're Watching You....Always Watching!!--Jraffe0404 (talk) 18:37, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
- Welcome indeed. How very exciting to see someone else embrace the challenges and benefits of this educational project. If I can be of assistance, drop me a note on my talk page. Your input on the 2010 Project is also welcome. Cheers!--JimmyButler (talk) 23:31, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
- How depressing - I see the edit history and dates. This is a ghost town filled with empty dreams. I'm sorry, you would have found it very fulfilling as a teacher and an invaluable teaching tool.--JimmyButler (talk) 00:32, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- Indeed, but with a new year comes new hope.--NYMFan69-86 (talk) 03:02, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- I tried to pull this off spring 2010 as an option to a traditional final exam, but that (obviously) didn't work, I think I will need to try it when we have more time. Like this year, today was our third day of school. I have 40 students this year and I am a bit nervous about running it this year (my second year as an AP teacher) with so many. Your project's work is obviously inspiring and impressive. Earthdirt (talk) 23:40, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
- As a member of last years project I learned that it is up to the instructor to give the students a nudge, but its up to the students to figure things out and put together a respectable article. Their ability to learn the quarks of Wikipedia and succeed in its environment is where the grade comes from.--NYMFan69-86 (talk) 02:12, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

I'm going to give you the secret to success
editDo turtles. Seriously. They are so, so, SO, the way to go. Self-contained. Vertebrate. Yet, simple. Lots of key ones left to do, that are interesting scientifically, and even popularly. Get a field trip in. Plus there is a wikiproject to interact with. It's like when that guy in The Graduate says "plastics". It really is as simple as one word. But that word is turtle.TCO (talk) 05:43, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
Comment on the WikiProject X proposal
editHello there! As you may already know, most WikiProjects here on Wikipedia struggle to stay active after they've been founded. I believe there is a lot of potential for WikiProjects to facilitate collaboration across subject areas, so I have submitted a grant proposal with the Wikimedia Foundation for the "WikiProject X" project. WikiProject X will study what makes WikiProjects succeed in retaining editors and then design a prototype WikiProject system that will recruit contributors to WikiProjects and help them run effectively. Please review the proposal here and leave feedback. If you have any questions, you can ask on the proposal page or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you for your time! (Also, sorry about the posting mistake earlier. If someone already moved my message to the talk page, feel free to remove this posting.) Harej (talk) 22:47, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
WikiProject X is live!
editHello everyone!
You may have received a message from me earlier asking you to comment on my WikiProject X proposal. The good news is that WikiProject X is now live! In our first phase, we are focusing on research. At this time, we are looking for people to share their experiences with WikiProjects: good, bad, or neutral. We are also looking for WikiProjects that may be interested in trying out new tools and layouts that will make participating easier and projects easier to maintain. If you or your WikiProject are interested, check us out! Note that this is an opt-in program; no WikiProject will be required to change anything against its wishes. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
Note: To receive additional notifications about WikiProject X on this talk page, please add this page to Wikipedia:WikiProject X/Newsletter. Otherwise, this will be the last notification sent about WikiProject X.
