What should be done about opponents of Azerbaijani identity mocking Azerbaijani identity?!
When I first visited Wikipedia and first got interested about my background it was amazing for me to see that all the articles about Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis were permanently changing and they were often written in a sense to give the image that Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis are nothing by an Iranian or Persian enclave! What I do not understand is why do these opinions, POV as they say, have made their way into Wikipedia?! The answer is probably the overwhelming interest of the Fars Iranians in Azerbaijan. It is absolutely astonishing. These guys would give up half of Iran but not Azerbaijan HAHAHAHAHA!!! They have subscribed to this Azeri Project as well, though all their actions are nothing but anti-Azeri, and they are quite aggressive in their pursuit. What can we do about this?? One of these users has actually been so interested he got hold of the username "Azerbaijani" and he is probably at least half a day present on all articles related to Azerbaijan in order to turn them into "Persian" or "Iranian" and of course even turn them into other names, doesn't matter much, "Aran", "Armenia" anything, as long as it is not "Azerbaijan". It is absolutely incredible. These people do not have their own homeland? I guess so HAHAHA! Roazir 18:45, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
Bilateral relations discussion
I would like to invite you all to participate in a discussion at this thread regarding bilateral relations between two countries. All articles related to foreign relations between countries are now under the scope of WikiProject Foreign relations, a newly created project. We hope that the discussion will result in a more clean and organized way of explaining such relationships. Thank you. Ed ¿Cómo estás? 18:26, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

I will be working on Wildlife articles on every country -they should summarize the main characteristics of each country e.g Wildlife of Azerbaijan which I created earlier and then branch out into extensive more specific articles on flora , fauna, birds etc ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 19:22, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Is this photo of any use?
I was going around, reading about Cossacks (mostly because I remembered that great line from Annie Hall, where Woody Allen's character uttered the line "My grammy never gave gifts. She was too busy getting raped by Cossacks."), and I stumbled upon a picture of a Cossack patrol near Baku oil fields. It's historic PD, so usable anywhere on Wikipedia. While it would be nice to have Azeris from the time period, it does show the development of Baku oil fields in the early 1900s as well as how important it was to Russia. Then again, it's along the lines of Image:102 329 nobel oilwells.jpg, which is used in the History of Azerbaijan and Oil industry in Azerbaijan articles --and that photo doesn't have Cossacks. I just thought I'd put it on the radar. --Bobak 01:28, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
- I also found this PD photo online Baku Nobel Oil field, 1891 --Bobak 01:38, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
- The photo of Cossacks is quite useful, it can be used in Armenian-Tatar massacres. The authorities at the time were more concerned about protection of oil fields, than actually stopping the riots. So it could be used there. And the second image could be used in many articles that have anything to do with history of Azerbaijan and oil industry in Azerbaijan. Thanks. Move
This Wikiproject should be moved to WikiProject Azerbaijan, so as to match all other country WikiProject names. I moved it based on that. Now it matches other country WikiProjects.Hajji Piruz 19:15, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
Nature of Azerbaijan
I just noticed how large the subject Nature of Azerbaijan really is and I think it deserves its own template to cover the issue much better, what do you guys think about it? Talyshli 13:08, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
- Why not? Grandmaster 10:58, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Düz əməlli qruplaşmaq lazımdır
Xahiş edirəm gəlin səliqə ilə qruplaşıb, Wikipedia-dakı Qarabağ haqqındakı ingilis-dilli məqalələri dəyişdirək. Ermənilər rhetoric, manipulation, falsification və s. yolla burada propoqanda aprırlar və Wikipedia ensklipediya olduğu üçün belə şeylərə yol verilməməlidir. Mən Qarabağ haqqında bir məqalədə 30-dan çox səhv, yalan, və manipulasiya tapmışam.Məqalənin adı Nagorno Karbakh-dı. Google-da search verəndə hamının qabağına bu məqalə çıxır və fakt əvəzinə erməni propaqandasın görürlər və xəbərləri belə olmur. Belə olmaz axı, ensklopediyada regnum.ru-dan zaddan sitat gətirmək neytrallığı nümayiş etdirmir. Əgər birgə bir iş görmək fikriniz varsa, XAHİŞ EDİRƏM cavab yazın və məsləhətləşək. If you want I can show you arguments I have collected about Nagorno-Karbakh article. I have more than 30 of them (usually biased sources, falsificiation, and rhetorical statements). 12insan 06:10, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
- Welcome to our wikiproject. Me and other members of this wikiproject will be glad to be of any help if you need it. I agree that there are serious issues with neutrality of some articles, but we are trying to fix them and your assistance will be appreciated. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Also note that our previous disputes escalated into 2 arbcom cases [1], so be careful editing topic related articles, always stick to WP:Civil, WP:3RR, WP:NPOV, and WP:NPA. Cheers. I am going to need your attention and support
Hello, tomorrow night (Oct-7, Sunday) I am going to argue that Nagorno Karabakh article should not include armenian perspectives mixed with facts and it should be splitted. I'll point out misrepresentations and fallacies (about 30). Please support me. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Nagorno-Karabakh Thank you. --12insan 00:42, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
