Top importance drive

edit

I note you've Frank Lloyd Wright as a nominee for (I assume) some kind of improvement drive - If you go that route, please let me know and we'll post it as a monthly improvement drive at the architecture wikiproject. --Joopercoopers 16:48, 3 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have several sources laying around here, if someone could outline what needs to be done with the article that would help. I guess I could do it myself. : ) IvoShandor 07:51, 7 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

"Priority scale" Section

edit

The section within the "Project" article talks about priority, importance, and class. I miss the point about the references to class, unless it is meant to be used as an example for how to set importance ratings. As for the references to priority, I don't believe priority and importance are synonymous. I would appreciate some clarification. Are we following a priority scale or are we following and importance scale? BTW, I noticed the name to the short cut - WP:CHIPRIORITY - hits at a priority versus importance mind set. Just noticed that a section on "Priority parameter" also mixes priority and importance. Pknkly (talk) 10:52, 2 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

article tagging

edit

I'm starting to go through some of the masses that make up our unassessed category. There's a lot of them. Anyway, with regards to some articles, I'm wondering if they should really be tagged in this particular wikiproject. For example, with respect to the rock band Chicago, the band should certainly be tagged into this project, yes. But is it absolutely necessary to tag every single one of their albums and/or songs in this wikiproject, like 25 or 6 to 4? It seems like it would make more sense for the song to be tagged in the songs wikiproject and shouldn't be tagged over here. I think most of the editors in this project are probably more interested in other areas than being responsible for overseeing the complete collection of songs and albums by one group from Chicago. Adopting a policy like this would probably help to reduce our backlog of unassessed articles quite a bit,... Dr. Cash (talk) 15:11, 28 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Had a similar issue with Alan Arkin being in a TV episode of Chicago Hope. Because the name "Chicago" was found in the article a bot placed the ChicagoWikiProject template into the talk page. Alan Arkin has nothing to do with Chicago and yet as ChicagoWikiProject members we are forced by the bot to set an importance rating (I gave it a low). I wish all the project groups had available to them an NR (Not Relevant) importance rating to indicate the article has no importance at all to the project. The bot looks for articles with categories listed at WP:CHIBOTCATS.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 20:16, 28 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

The link goes to a blank page! Is this something I need or is it no longer needed? Pknkly (talk) 13:22, 2 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
