New project

I found this project during my recent changes patrol. I'd be interested to see what the goals of the project are. Would it be appropriate to include a list of Christianity-related articles up for deletion? How about info-boxes for church articles, and a guide to writing a good church article (not too POV pushing, get permission to copy from church's website or to copy images, find independent sources in local church's clip file, local historical society or library local history file, local history book, denomination's magazine), mention WP:CONG, suggest that if such makings for a keepable article can't be found that it should be mentioned in article on locality per WP:LOCAL. WP:CONG might suggest avenues to explore for establishing notability (noted pastor, notable members. music innovations, doctrinal strife). Edison 20:56, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

I didn't create the project, just this page. On the main project page, I think adding a list of articles up for deletion would be great. Actually, when (or if?) I finish the list, it'll be fairly easy to check for such with the recent changes function. As for the other points, specifically regarding local churches, I think that it would be great if such articles were created when reasonable, and would like to work with the various geographical WikiProjects and the Architecture Project in establishing more such articles, or at least sections of city articles relating to local churches. The various churches certainly need better articles, and I hope that getting the banner out there a bit more and maybe, if there's interest, in creating work groups on some of the denominations that don't yet have dedicated groups for them might help get more members in as well. Limited Scope

This page lists only a few dozen of the 5760 articles listed on the assessment page. Is there any way to automatically keep this list current, thus making the Recent Christianity-related changes page somewhat useful? TrickyApron (talk) 03:26, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
