  • Should we go for a specific number, or try to include all projects we think qualify?
  • Should they all be general exemplars, or should we try to break down into categories, like the Academy Awards and other such awards? In this case, maybe "Best Project for promotion of Featured Articles," "Best Project for General Improvement of All Articles," "Best New Project," and the like.
  • What should the specific criteria for "passing" a WikiProject into "exemplar" status be?

I know others exist as well. Please feel free to add any questions or comments below. Badbilltucker 21:34, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I think we should avoid getting too ceremonial in this venture. Afterall, the aim is to provide examples for developing projects, not to stroke the egos of those which are already doing well. Therefore, I think categorising projects per an awards scheme is probably a Bad Idea; it should be thought of as part of the guide, rather than as a "status" ladder.--cj | talk 01:09, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

WP:KLF

edit

I'm flattered that this was included, but I've removed it as I don't think it sets the best of examples.

Whilst the project has been successful in producing high quality, featured output (undoubtedly the most important thing a project can do), it has the downsides of being very small in membership and prone to replication by fans of other bands who create a WikiProject then do nothing. I think it would be best if WP:KLF is left to quietly exist without being listed as some model project :) Thanks. --kingboyk 17:06, 18 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
