Won't such links make Wikipedia too dependent on a very nice, but still particular commercial program and it's API/links format?

I'm concerned that when this linking from Wikipedia will become popular (it easy can) and there will be many thousands of direct links to GSV views - a minor change in GSV interface (i.e. after just re-capturing imagery) might break them. There should be some service-independent reference to the imagery, maybe as an extension to Geotagging#Wikipedia so the possible future changes to the GSV will not break scores of Wikipedia articles.--AndreyFilippov (talk) 19:33, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
