Wikipedia Project 1.0
editMembers from the Wikipedia Project 1.0 are looking to identify the Key articles within our Wikiproject.
- Please read this: Wikipedia:Key_article
So as members of the project, we should make some effort to create a system to identify these key articles. I suggest we take a look at some of the expert information found here to help us make these decisions.
Wikipedia Lists
edit- List of highest-grossing films
- Entertainment Weekly's "Top 50 Cult Films of All-Time"
- AFI's 100 Years... 100 Movies
(Let's aim for 50 articles right now.)
What system should be use?
editThere are quite a few Project systems in existance for evaluating "key articles". The MilitaryHistory system is very organized and I think they can mobilize quite easily, while theCVG project, seems very decentralized. Any comments? The system above was based more on the expert system, based on substantiation. Please comment.--P-Chan 04:18, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
- I honestly think a good springboard would be the AFI list of top 100 films of all time, here, and we can build off that later. I can help build the page, if desired. Aguerriero (talk) 13:29, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Grading glitch
editI discovered something buggy in the grading system that reminds me that when we set people to grading film articles, we should write a Quick Reference or something on how to do it. I changed an article talk page to {{FilmsWikiProject|class=stub}} (note the lower-case "s" on "stub") and it had the effect of adding the article to Stub-Class film articles, but not removing it from Unassessed film articles. I capitalized the "stub" and it worked correctly. That's a gotcha that a lot of people will stumble on. Aguerriero (talk) 13:33, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
