Markup in headings

edit

Hi Buaidh. I took out the markup you added to the headings in the list of members at WikiProject Maryland per MOS:HEADINGS. But I see you are a very experienced editor, and I reckon that the MOS is only a guideline so it is a possibility you have a more valid reason to add the markup than following the guideline, although I don't know that. What was the markup for? --Thinker78 (talk) 01:20, 12 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Thinker78: This is the standard configuration for the U.S. State WikiProjects. Please take a look at the other states. It would be best if you restored most of the original text. Yours aye,  Buaidh  talk contribs 04:03, 12 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
WikiProject Maryland members do not need to place a member userbox on their user page, but if they do not, they should place [[Category:WikiProject Maryland members]] on it. That is why we have renamed Member userboxes as Member identification and included the direct category invocation. We also created a link at the top of the page to direct users to their member identification options. I recommend that you do this. If you are unable to do this, I can do it for you.  Buaidh  talk contribs 21:11, 12 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I will work on restoring the headings next week, if you want to do it earlier feel free to do so. Regarding "member userboxes" or "member identification", why not instead add a note telling members to put the category on their user page due to the reasons you stated, if they are not going to use a userbox? --Thinker78 (talk) 21:12, 14 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
