These articles merely duplicate and transclude List of mathematics articles (A) and friends, and are not linked to in either article, template, or portal-space, making them pointless for readers. They are used exclusively by WikiProject Mathematics' Mathbot for recent changes tracking. Therefore, I propose to move them into either the bot's userspace or subpages of the WikiProject. I have contacted the bot author and he doesn't care strongly about it; we just need to inform him before any move takes place so he can adjust the bot's settings. --Cybercobra (talk) 04:24, 9 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
- Does the bot actually use those range lists? To the best of my knowledge, the only on-wiki page that uses them is Wikipedia:WikiProject Mathematics/Recent changes, which is read by editors, not by a bot—it was split by me from {{MathTopicTOC}} after you objected to recent changes tracking functionality appearing in article space. That little widget is transcluded to Wikipedia:WikiProject Mathematics/Current activity. Like User:David Eppstein explained in the deletion discussion, the range lists don't appear to be linked from anywhere because they are indirectly used as parameters for Special:Recentchangeslinked, e.g. as Special:Recentchangeslinked/List of mathematics articles (D-F). That does not mean they are not used anywhere on the wiki. Having said that, I don't object to moving them to Wikipedia space, as long as nothing breaks. Before making any moves, it's best wait for confirmation from the authors of User:Mathbot and User:Jitse's bot, both of which may also use those lists. I will notify them. - Mathbot does not need these pages, they were kept for the sake of recent changes only. Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 17:15, 9 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
- Proposal modified accordingly. --Cybercobra (talk) 04:05, 10 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

- Comment per the recent AfD, have the histories of these pages been histmerged somewhere? That should happen before moving it to other space. 76.66.196.139 (talk) 06:47, 10 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
- I believe you are confusing the separate renaming of List of mathematics articles (A) etc. to Index of mathematics articles (A) etc., which caused the need for histmerging of those articles. --Cybercobra (talk) 07:05, 10 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
