Resources
editI hope people find this useful.--Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 10:29, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
changed useful references to useful resources Sharkli (talk - contribs) 10:55, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
I've added Prodigy Knowledge. I think Map of Medicine is also worthy of inclusion as an evidence-based resource Sharkli (talk - contribs) 13:20, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
A note for editors
editI have created a note for editors who add stuff without a suitable reference which links here and thus provides resources for them. It is {{RSPlease}} Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 10:38, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
Plos images
editAre we sure that there is no copyright on Plos images? They do mention that credit is given?Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 20:47, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
Uptodate
editIs there a specific citation template that we can use for this? If not, how should it be cited in articles? NW (Talk) 14:23, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
- Uptodate is what I primarily use in my medical practice but as we state here it is "not usually suitable for using as a reference due to access issues". I sometime use the references that Uptodate mentions. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 21:28, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
- The way that UpToDate prefers to be cited can be found here. UpToDate is not actually up to date (with only 40% being updated every 4 months, that implies that 60% is going to be more than 4 months out of date). See the article by Banzi et al BMJ 2011; 343:d5856 doi: 10.1136/bmj.d5856 for a comparison of Clinical Evidence, EBMGuidelines, eMedicine, Dynamed and UpToDate. Sharkli (talk) 12:52, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
- Yes agree that it is not always the best source. Also have some concerns regarding financial biases. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 13:29, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

Proposed move - change title of "Veterans benefits for post-traumatic stress disorder in the United States"
editIt has been proposed that Veterans benefits for post-traumatic stress disorder in the United States be renamed and moved to Veterans benefits for posttraumatic stress disorder in the United States. Please see my rationale for changing the title (removing the hyphen in "post-traumatic" is the only change proposed) at Talk:Veterans benefits for post-traumatic stress disorder in the United States#Requested move 27 August 2019. Please discuss on that Talk page too. Thanks! - Mark D Worthen PsyD (talk) (I am a man. The traditional male pronouns are fine.) 16:38, 27 August 2019 (UTC)
Cells?
editI am familiar with the journal, Cell, but today I came across two articles referencing a journal named Cells. We have no article at Cells (journal). Is this a legitimate source? BD2412 T 00:38, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
