Request for information on WP1.0 web tool
editHello and greetings from the maintainers of the WP 1.0 Bot! As you may or may not know, we are currently involved in an overhaul of the bot, in order to make it more modern and maintainable. As part of this process, we will be rewriting the web tool that is part of the project. You might have noticed this tool if you click through the links on the project assessment summary tables.
We'd like to collect information on how the current tool is used by....you! How do you yourself and the other maintainers of your project use the web tool? Which of its features do you need? How frequently do you use these features? And what features is the tool missing that would be useful to you? We have collected all of these questions at this Google form where you can leave your response. Walkerma (talk) 04:24, 27 October 2019 (UTC)

I imagine I'm not the only one who missed that here. Anybody with a link for that? Thy, --SvenAERTS (talk) 12:15, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
- Do you mean Wikipedia:Translation and/or WP:Translate us? Those pages cover translation from other languages to English and from English to other languages, respectively. Huon (talk) 19:52, 11 April 2020 (UTC)

Update on the Translation Task Force?
editHi all, I asked at WT:MED if this is still active, and if so, where. If folks are still watching this page, any update would be very much appreciated. Thanks! Ajpolino (talk) 22:31, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Ajpolino: Translators probably are still active but not on wiki, and not as a group activity. I am not aware of any community in Wikimedia projects, either in medicine or anywhere else, which consistently organizes translation on wiki. The workflow nowadays is that anyone with their own off-wiki connections gets non-wiki editors to do translations, then pass those translations to any wiki editors they find who will do quality control and post the translations. While I think there are ~200-300 Wikipedia editors who do this workflow, rarely do any of them coordinate any of this activity on Wikipedia or in any other single location. Also there is wide variation in how individuals coordinate translation. Translation is still useful, of course, but I am not aware of anyone who finds it useful to organize this in the Wikimedia platform.
- How is that for an update? What more could I tell you? Blue Rasberry (talk) 17:33, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks Bluerasberry that's very helpful! If someone were to stumble upon this page interested in helping, is there anywhere in particular we should point them? Or just leave it be and pop a {{Historical}} or {{Inactive}} at the top (or, of course, just leave it be and add nothing to the top)? Thanks again! I hope you're staying well during these crazy times. Ajpolino (talk) 18:04, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Ajpolino: I am not sure. The workflow here is not inactive because it simply does not work. It is historical. Translation is active, but there is no where in particular to point people who want to join. I am not going to be the one to template this page but also I do not foresee any update of the documentation, and would not oppose anyone else templating it as historical. Hope you are well too, nice time for editing the wiki. Blue Rasberry (talk) 18:11, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
- Got it, thank you again Bluerasberry. Ajpolino (talk) 18:13, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

Translated articles list
editIs there a list of all translated articles (full + summaries)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by LProlog (talk • contribs) 05:38, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
- User:LProlog do you mean all articles that have been translated since we started back in 2012? Or do you mean all articles that are up for translation? We have moved the translation efforts to HERE Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 22:52, 27 May 2021 (UTC)
