editYour edits capture my intent. I could suggest the examples be distinguished from the "main text", such as by putting them in a {{quote}}? Secondly, could I suggest putting a link to this page into the boilerplate. Finally, a post to the Milhist page to disseminate these "changes". Just an FYI: Please see. I would do this if you wish, once any further changes are finalised/completed. Regards, Cinderella157 (talk) 14:04, 15 February 2018 (UTC)
- G'day, I've add a link to the instructions on the boilerplate, [1]. Not sure that the quote template would be ideal, though, as I think it is really for long block quotes and would possibly break up the text too much. @WP:MILHIST coordinators: please be advised, I've adjusted the instructions page, and the pre-load boilerplate, per the discussion on the co-ord talk page. Will look to post a notification on the main MILHIST talk page once you've all had a chance to comment, or adjust as you see fit. Regards, AustralianRupert (talk) 09:45, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
- I tried two variations [2] using {{quote}} and [3] using just an indent - so you could see jow they look. The teacher in me says to make the examples clearly distinct from the text. {{quote}} was a thought but it may well break up the text too much. It comes down to personal preference pretty much, so it is not a big thing. Regards, Cinderella157 (talk) 10:29, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
- G'day, no worries, thanks for the examples. Either of those methods seem fine to me. Regards, AustralianRupert (talk) 23:43, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
