Puerto Rico bridges
editI've stumbled upon some cool sources for bridges in Puerto Rico, and have already pasted one to some articles. Here are two sources in case you are interested. I'm going to work on a list article because I think it's appropriate.
- Has list of bridges and a lot of historical information re: their construction[1]
- Is a report to the Secretary of the Interior of the US, written up in the early 1900s.[2]
Any ideas? Have a great spring! --The Eloquent Peasant (talk) 14:25, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for those sources. This other one is also useful because it can help to create new articles for different historical bridges. Yarfpr (talk) 15:51, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
- That's helpful. Thanks! --The Eloquent Peasant (talk) 16:52, 10 April 2021 (UTC)

inaturalist.org
editA new editor has added something to every wikidata item of places in Puerto Rico, which I think is harmless. However, the reference that they have added with that change is to a .zip file. I don't think this is a good idea. diff on wikidata Lares municipality
inaturalist.org is the website that they added to the wikidata items of municipalities of Puerto Rico (and lots of other places, not just PR). inaturalist is a social media / collaborative type place where people share photos of nature, flowers, plants etc from around the world pointing to the specific place where the photo was taken.
This is what I took issue with: The editor added this to reference URL: https://www.inaturalist.org/places/inaturalist-places.csv.zip I personally don't like articles to have things that do an automatic download. I personally don't see the need for this particular file to be listed in the wikidata item.
Do you think it's harmless to have a .zip file as a reference in wikidata? I think the reference URL on the wikidata items can simply be "inaturalist.org" without the rest. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks and have a nice Spring. --The Eloquent Peasant (talk) 21:42, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
