Notice to participants at this page about adminship

Many participants here create a lot of content, may have to evaluate whether or not a subject is notable, decide if content complies with BLP policy, and much more. Well, these are just some of the skills considered at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship.

So, please consider taking a look at and watchlisting this page:

You could be very helpful in evaluating potential candidates, and even finding out if you would be a suitable RfA candidate.

NEW HD Radio and RDS Pictures on HD Radio/RDS Stations

I have been working on posting HD Pictures of What Stations look like on an HD Radio Receiver similar to the way people on TV Wikipedia pages post news intros on local TV station Wikipedia Pages. I would like to go Forward with the project if other people with HD Radios in other markets take a picture of stations in their market and put them on their corresponding Wikipedia Radio Pages to help promote HD Radio. I used WQED-FM, WESA (FM), and KDKA-FM as examples of what my goal is and I will also post this on all the other Pittsburgh Radio Pages as well. If you have any additions or concerns with this approach, message me here. Thanks and happy Editing. --Bbabybear02 (talk) 21:43, 16 April 2017 (UTC)

I like it & see nothing wrong with it!Stereorock (talk) 22:03, 16 April 2017 (UTC)
I think they're fine, although photos like these can be uploaded to the Commons (i.e., so long as you release them with the appropriate license as it appears you are the sole copyright holder). Also, please bear in mind that Wikipedia is not "promotional". Levdr1lp / talk 22:12, 16 April 2017 (UTC)

Thanks ev1 for your comments. I will Move the Photos to Commons in the coming days when I Have more time. I also moved the photos up underneath the station's logo instead of a thumbnail. --Bbabybear02 (talk) 00:21, 17 April 2017 (UTC)

HD Radio and RDS Pictures Update

Thanks once again for your approval for me to put HD Radio screenshots on all of the Radio Stations Pages in the Pittsburgh and surrounding markets. Instead of re uploading all of them to Commons, I put a {{CC-BY-SA 3.0}} licensing template(suggested by BU Rob13) on all the Pictures since I am the Copyright Holder. I will be also adding more screenshots in the coming days to finish out the process. I encourage all of you to do the same to other Radio Station Pages all across Wikipedia. Thanks Again. I am making a Trip to Indianapolis Today to Work the Indy 500. I will be adding HD Radio and RDS Pictures from Wheeling, Columbus, Dayton, and ,of course, Indy to the collection in the coming weeks. Bbabybear02 (talk) 15:07, 27 May 2017 (UTC)

Daytime only station template

KQNA is included in Template:Daytime-only radio stations in Arizona. The AM station broadcasts 24 hours via FM translators. So does it belong in the template? Does "station" mean primarily the content or the frequency? Is there a precedent to handle this with footnotes or some other way in other templates (I assume there are ones for other states)? I think since it's referring to the A.M. signal only, it's valid. That's my thought, anyway.Stereorock (talk) 03:18, 5 June 2017 (UTC)

More templates for deletion

Jazz Radio stations in N.J. & Mass. templates along with Mainstream Rock in R.I. are in danger of being deleted.Stereorock (talk) 21:23, 17 June 2017 (UTC)

Help wanted: Proposal to merge small market templates

See discussion. Arbor to SJ (talk) 07:00, 4 July 2017 (UTC)

Seeking comments

I'm seeking advice on a proposed merger of Template:Nogales AZ Radio and Template:Nogales Radio, which would cross-list stations on both sides of the border (Nogales, AZ with 4 stations cannot support an infobox on its own, but Nogales, Sonora has more stations). See Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2017 July 6#Template:Nogales AZ Radio. Raymie (tc) 23:42, 13 July 2017 (UTC)

I'm in favor of it. I think we already have a couple of cross-border templates.Stereorock (talk) 00:13, 14 July 2017 (UTC)
@Stereorock: Except for San Diego (some stations are cross-listed from Tijuana, but Tijuana has its own box), there actually aren't. If this is approved, there are two boxes in Texas that have 6 stations each (Eagle Pass and Del Rio) that are prime candidates for this same sort of merger. You should say something in the TFD discussion. Raymie (tc) 00:28, 14 July 2017 (UTC)

Also, there is a related discussion: Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2017 July 20#Template:High Desert/ Eastern Sierra Radio. This is a template I believe should be either deleted or renamed. Arbor to SJ (talk) 22:18, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

Draft at Articles for Creation

Hello, folks. We have a draft at Articles for Creation that has an online community station as its subject. The draft is Draft:BFF.fm: Best Frequencies Forever. Do you folks have any established guidance for these types of stations? If so, we would appreciate learning about it. If not, we would equally appreciate hearing your thoughts about this particular draft. In a few minutes, I'll open up a section on the Draft's talk page where comments can be left. It will be located at Draft talk:BFF.fm: Best Frequencies Forever#Discussion during review at Articles for Creation. Thank you for any assistance that you can provide.
