Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Red Link Recovery/Possibly unwanted

Requested move
editI have suggested that the page be renamed to reflect the fact that some of the articles on the list may not be unwanted; the fact that an article has been deleted is not necessarily an indication that it should not exist. Chubbles (talk) 20:47, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- I agree, some of these articles should exist but were deleted because they were created with no useful information or were copyright violations, or were about a different subject with the same name. Some articles in the list have now been created and are not red links. Links to articles deleted by the AFD process should probably be removed (and usually are) but others maybe not - therefore Possibly Unwanted is a better description. --Snigbrook (talk) 18:12, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- I've now updated the list to remove articles that have been created since the last update. --Snigbrook (talk) 18:21, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- There is also Wikipedia:Most_wanted_articles#Possibly_unwanted_articles which appears to be the same as this. Is there a reason for both to exist? --Snigbrook (talk) 18:52, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not sure; I renamed that section at the same time I requested the move. They appear to be updated by different Wikiprojects but serve essentially the same function. Chubbles (talk) 19:05, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

It appears that this is uncontroversial. The move is unblocked, so you can move it yourself, if you'd like. I'm removing the listing from Wikipedia:Requested moves, which is pretty backlogged at this point. Dekimasuよ! 06:29, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
