Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Risk

Hello!

edit

I was looking to create a similar proposal for a WikiProject Risk Management. Thanks for the work that has been done so far putting this project together.

There is no timeline for the new project proposal flow so the project will remain draft bound for a while unless we decide to shortcut the process. I will try and centralize some of my work here going forward. Unfortunately: this is my first WikiProject, I am relatively new to Wikipedia, and I am solely a student with some overlapping course material involving risks so I don't bring practicing expertise. Nonetheless, hopefully I might help push a student-oriented strain of the project (e.g. amassing lists, outlines, turning definitions into explanations, improving references on articles, etc.). Article satiation

edit

Wikipedia is targeted at a broad audience, and ideally its articles should be at least somewhat satisfying to all of them.

Note that this is slightly more restrictive than WikiProject Physics's policy which says:

The result of this work should be articles that are accessible to the lay reader and yet are also useful to the professional working in the field. Some articles are of interest to grade-school students, others only to advanced graduate students and post-docs: all such communities should be served.

Which doesn't necessarily imply every article needs to satiate every audience. I have seen this come up on talk pages related to this topic. Tule-hog (talk) 02:46, 30 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Private Equity

edit

This WikiProject explicitly sets itself out as an inter-project collaboration, which I think fits the description of this project well. It may be worth modeling partially after them. See how they are advertised under 'Related WikiProjects' on the front page of WikiProject Finance & Investment. Tule-hog (talk) 03:15, 30 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
