I liked it better with the "WWW," but it's not a big deal. --Myles Long/cDc 17:03, 5 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Unstable

edit

The images in this are way too unstable for me. The tag Nazis are always watching it, so I'm removing it from my page.Rlevse 21:35, 16 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • Protecting Wikipedia against copyright lawsuits is not being a tag nazi. Further comments by me may be found here, from your talk page. As an Eagle Scout I am sure you understand the importance of doing the right thing. --Durin 14:01, 17 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
Of course, but all the editing this userbox's image is making me nauseous and highly frustrated.Rlevse 15:37, 17 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image testing

The light/dark red letters make it hard to read the "OA". I honestly don't like it. Thanks for trying. It is appreciated.Rlevse 15:37, 17 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • I think it's better than "www" which is irrelevant to OA. --Durin 16:22, 17 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
    • Now on that one, I have to disagree. WWW has an important and specific meaning within the OA.17:01, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
      • Yes, WWW is of the utmost importance to the OA, which is why I suggested that to begin with. --Myles Long 17:11, 17 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
        • Ok, *shrug* lost me on that one. It's not my template; I was just trying to help. I think most people outside of OA would have no clue of the relevance of "WWW" to OA. Remove the image I put in from the template if you like. Just let me know if you do, so I can delete the image (as it's not going to be used anywhere else). --Durin 17:49, 17 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
Actually, the current image is not bad, however, WWW would be OK, too. "OA" would be another alternative. As for the changing, I don't really mind. That's the wiki way. Eventually, we will probably have convergence on a consensus, or if not, we will find a way to "split the difference" and make everybody happy - like providing two versions. Since userboxes are mostly tangential to what is really happening here, I say that it's just great for people to have fun and look for improvements. NThurston 19:04, 17 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sandbox for OA Userbox

  • I recommend that we use this area to try out new ideas, vote for ones you like, etc. It seems much more effective/appropriate than constantly fiddling with the actual template. Here are a few of the recent versions:NThurston 19:20, 17 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
