Black History month editathon at the University of Edinburgh
editHi, we are holding a Black History month editathon 1-5pm on 25th October 2017 in partnership with the student History Society at the University of Edinburgh. We are also hosting a Women in Red meetup on 24 October too so could make this the focus for our WiR editing that day too. Wondered if you would be happy to collaborate on this? Plenty of names on the list you have created... Best wishes, Stinglehammer (talk) 16:22, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
- Stinglehammer WiR traditionally hosts an editathon focusing on black women's history in February and it is scheduled again for next year at that time, but I am aware that both Britain and the Netherlands recognize October. I am fairly sure that our October events have been finalized, but pinging Rosiestep to weigh in.SusunW (talk) 18:54, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
- Stinglehammer, unfortunately, I agree with SusunW's comments here, but would like to be supportive to the degree possible. So... these are Women in Red's planned/advertised October events:
- If someone on your team added redlinked articles to the Redlists/Redlinks section of each of these pages, within the scope of the particular event, editors might opt to work on them. I know it's not the optimal solution, and we're open to other suggestions. Also, can you please provide a link to your event page as that might help us find an alternative option for collaborating? --Rosiestep (talk) 19:53, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
