Finding more using the not-in-the-other-language tool
editA useful tool for finding missing entries is not-in-the-other-language. It will show articles which appear on another language Wikipedia but not English.
For example, to find botanists in French Wikipedia, set
- "In Language" to
fr
- "Not in language" to
en
- "Category tree" to
Botaniste
(French for Botanists) — You can look up categories on English Wikipedia to find their translations, e.g. from Category:Botanists, click Français on the sidebar. - "Wikidata Query" to
claim[21:6581072]
— this is to filter for women
And click "Do it", and you'll get the following list of red links:
- Alida Olbers Wester
- Aline Raynal-Roques
- Bernadette Lizet
- Claire Mohant
- Delphine Philippe-Lemaître
- Denise van Druten
- Emilia Anikina
- Emily N. Wabuyele
- Esther Amelia Dick
- Geneviève Meurgues
- Germaine Pottier-Alapetite
- Gerta von Ubisch
- Helen Jean Brown
- Iris Sheila Collenette
- Jelena de Belder-Kovačič
- Joëlle Magnin-Gonze
- Kerstin Koch
- Marie-Laure Tardieu-Blot
- Olga Knorring
- Suzette Puech
