TGIF, I hope everyone's got big plans for the weekend. Me not so much, but I am probably going to try and enjoy some of this nice Maine weather. Coming from Hawaii I'm still not quite used to this "warm" weather Maine's having. I do have a question for the group though, since I am fairly new to town does anyone have any recommendations for good bars? They can be in either Brunswick or Portland? I've lived in Maine for about ten years, and I'm still not used to this "warm" weather lol. I haven't gone to many bars since I've been 21 recently, but Joshua's Tavern is right off of Main Street in Brunswick and has two pool tables! If you're interesting in exploring outside, I'd recommend looking into nearby trails and hikes. Bradbury Mountain in Freeport is close by and fun. I hope your weekend went well! Hello everyone, Abby here. Hope everyone's weekend went well. My favorite bars in Brunswick are Joshua's and El Camino is also great if you're looking for something different. As far as Portland, there are really too many to name, but some of my all time favorites are Samuel's, the Thirsty Pig, and the Great Lost Bear. I agree with Gina that getting outside is a great way to see the state and Bradbury is a great close hike. Another hike close to Brunswick is the Morse Mountain Preserve that ends at Popham Beach in Phippsburg, which I highly recommend.
