• It might be interesting to consider the results if all biographies covered by a sport-related wiki-project are excluded, as I believe those may distort the numbers due to the different standards of inclusion. BilledMammal (talk) 05:03, 28 February 2022 (UTC)

  You're right BilledMammal. This notebook provides further results with statistics by occupation (P106 in Wikidata). There are many football players and sport professionals. It still not clear to me what would be relevant as a good filter. PAC2 (talk) 07:31, 28 February 2022 (UTC)

• In many professions 47 is a bit young to get a Wikipedia page, or at least the data only going back 47 years makes a big difference, whilst few sportspeople are going to become notable at or after that age. It would be interesting to see this redone in a decade or five when a lot more non sports people will be in. My guess is that there will then be a positive correlation with the proportion of people in that department with degrees. ϢereSpielChequers 16:10, 1 March 2022 (UTC)
