editWP requires notification as a policy when doing unilateral "userfications" - especially when I doubt the good faith of the move. Thanks! Collect (talk) 13:59, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
WP also requires the courtesy of a notification what an essay is put up for MfD by the way as well. Collect (talk) 22:18, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
It ain't what fellows know which causes most problems; it's what they do with that knowledge afterwards which does it. ToshBillings (talk) 10:17, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Josh Billings → WP:KNOW — This article has been expanded so that it includes comments by both Josh Billings and Ben Franklin. The editor who uses this article in discussion pages links to WP:KNOW, not this article. TFD (talk) 15:22, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose No need as the redirect exists. Renaming for the pure sake of renaming is a tad non-utile. Rename stuff where the name has problems. Collect (talk) 15:57, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose Don't suck all enjoyment out of this.--Milowent • talkblp-r 17:40, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose There's no reason the primary text needs to change, and as was pointed out to me earlier, each essay should have a reasonable name, not just an all-caps WP: shortcut. Jclemens (talk) 17:58, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Essay title
editThe title for this essay appears to be inappropriate in that it seems to be a case of content forking; there is a mainspace article with this title. Also, the content is not related to the title except tangentially, rendering the title imprecise (WP:CRITERIA and WP:PRECISION) - the quoted words of Ben Franklin and Josh Billings reflect the subject or topic of this article, not the name Josh Billings; According to policy - "Precision – The title unambiguously identifies the article's subject and distinguishes it from other subjects." There appears to be no distinguishing here - the title"Josh Billings" is for a biographical article, of which there already is one. This is not a biographical article - mainspace, namespace, or otherwise. Based on these items I am moving the page to a new title. ----Steve Quinn (talk) 01:09, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
