Wings Off the Sea is a 1954 Australian novel by J. E. Macdonnell. It told the story of an Australian air craft carrier during the Korean War.[1][2][3] (Another Macdonnell novel Gimme the Boats had also been adapted for radio.)

Radio serial
editThe ABC adapted the novel into a 1954 radio serial. There was 26 episodes of 15 minutes.[4] MacDonell did the adaptation himself.[5] Rod Taylor starred.[6]
