The World Humanoid Robot Games is a competition featuring humanoid robots. It was first held in Beijing in August 2025.

The 2025 World Humanoid Robot Games (Chinese: 2025世界人形机器人运动会) was held in Beijing in August 2025. The inaugural edition featured 280 teams and more than 500 humanoid robots competing in 26 events, including boxing, football, cleaning and medicine sorting.[2][3][4]

The 2026 World Humanoid Robot Games is being held in Beijing from 22 to 26 August 2026.[5][6] The second edition features 2,056 robots from 666 teams competing in 51 events: 30 competitive events, including football, athletics, dance and table tennis, and 21 scenario-based events simulating household and hotel services, industrial tasks, firefighting and rescue.[7] According to the organizer's claims, 400m, 1,500m, and 4×100m relay events have become “fully autonomous” categories, requiring robots to run without remote control.[7]
The competition saw two robots run faster than Usain Bolt's 9.58-second world record in the 100m, with Tiangong Ultra recording 9.39 seconds and Lightning 9.47 seconds. This was a significant improvement over last year's winning robot's time of 21.50 seconds.[8]
