Yann Gael is a French-Cameroonian actor. He is best known for 1899, Saloum and Le Rêve Français.

On the invitation of Léonora Miano, he writes a chapter of the book Marianne and the Black Boy, Editions Pauvert, where he talks about black masculinity in France through his work as an actor.
Early life and education
editGael was born in Garoua, Cameroon. He attended the French National Academy of Drama (Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique) in Paris.
