Yasin Taha Hafiz (1936) is an Iraqi poet, literary translator, and journalist. He was born in the city of Baghdad. He graduated from the Department of Foreign Languages at the College of Education in 1961. Hafiz worked as an English language teacher, then as an editor for the magazine Al-Tali’a Al-Adabiya (The Literary Vanguard), and later as editor-in-chief of the magazine Al-Thaqafa Al-Ajnabiyya (Foreign Culture). He has published numerous poetry collections, authored literary works, and translated various texts.[1][2]
