Yogesh Kumar Tyagi is an Indian academic. He is the 22nd Vice Chancellor of the University of Delhi.[1][2] He was the former Dean of the Faculty of Legal Studies, at South Asian University and is credited with the establishment of an excellent department for International Law. Tyagi has published a famous work on the UN Human Rights Committee (Cambridge University Press). He has published extensively in international journals.

Education
editTyagi completed his LLM from the Columbia University School of Law in New York, where he was nominated a Silver Fellow, and obtained his MPhil and PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.[3]
Career
editTyagi is a former Professor of International Law at Jawaharlal Nehru University. He is also a Member of l’Institut de Droit International. He has also served as a Member, of the Law Commission of India. He served as Vice Chancellor of the University of Delhi from 10 March 2016 to 9 March 2021.
