Zlonín is a municipality and village in Prague-East District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,300 inhabitants. The municipality has the youngest population in the country.

The first written mention of Zlonín is from 1367.[2]

The following trades and shops were registered in the village of Zlonín (369 inhabitants) in 1932: inn, wheelwright, blacksmith, tailor, 2 shoemakers, baker, bottling plant, 12 farmers, 2 butchers, 2 shops with mixed goods, newsagent and 3 carpenters.[10]

The catastrophic drought was responsible for the death of the planted forest crops. The municipal council appointed President T. G. Masaryk an honorary citizen of Zlonín. The municipality has reserved 50 thousand CZK for the construction of a new school in Líbeznice.

Věra Červinková

Věra Červinková, born Čadilová (27 August 1905 Zlonín - 24 November 1944 Plötzensee Prison) is a significant person born in the village Zlonín. She was a participant of the Czech anti-Nazi resistance executed by the Nazi regime.[11]

She worked as a clerk at the Central Insurance Institute in Prague. After the German occupation of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, she joined the so-called Red Aid (Roten Hilfe in German) in the summer of 1942, collecting donations for needy women and children of political prisoners and giving money to this organization every month. She also provided accommodation for the persecuted. In the spring of 1943, she procured blank forms for the production of forged documents.

On 9 September 1944 she was sentenced to death for "preparation for treason". On 24 November 1944 she was executed by guillotine in Berlin, Plötzensee.[11]
