Algitalea is a Gram-negative, strictly aerobic, rod-shaped, non-spore-forming genus of bacteria from the family of Flavobacteriaceae with one known species (Algitalea ulvae).[1][2] Algitalea ulvae has been isolated from the alga Ulva pertusa.[2]
