editThe article says:
"The title "Princess of Poland" was never used. However, legitimate daughters of the rulers of Poland are also referred to as Polish princesses for simplicity's sake."
I'm afraid it's doubly wrong. The title of Princess _was_ used in Poland. See Princely_Houses_of_Poland. Additionally, in earlier times, daughters of rulers from the Piast dynasty were princesses as well.
It is only in the Jagiellon dynasty that the title "królewna" is preferred, and children of elected kings were not allowed to use the title of prince or princess at all. It's not unimportant. You wouldn't call Obama's daughter a princess, would you? It's against the Constitution, or at least it was in Poland.
So at the same time you could have Princess Izabella Czartoryska and Maria Leszczyńska the daughter of a Polish king and a Queen of France, but not a Polish princess.
I'd suggest changing the name of the category to Polish princesses and daughters of Polish kings. Eventually, one could make an article named królewna to explain the phenomenon, and then rename the category to Polish princesses and królewnas.--SylwiaS | talk 01:20, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
