This category now contains women who were Swedish princesses (with noble or courtesy titles) but never were princesses of Sweden. How did the move even take place? SergeWoodzing (talk) 19:28, 14 June 2024 (UTC)
Same problem here.--SergeWoodzing (talk) 19:35, 14 June 2024 (UTC)
- The category move seems to be within policy. See Special:Diff/1227774835.
- Any miscategorization would have happened earlier: Perhaps Special:Diff/242999446?
- Expecting categories to follow strict rules of logic may be impractical. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 19:58, 14 June 2024 (UTC)
- @SergeWoodzing: I'm revisiting this request to offer more help. It looks like Hey man im josh has made a great number of these category changes with justifications like 'C2C' or 'C2D' but I haven't found much if any discussion about them (we could ask him).
- You are correct that a person could be both a princess and Swedish without also being a princess of Sweden. Does it make sense to have a category for these people? Distinct from Category:Princesses_of_Sweden? I'm inclined to say no. The correct action, if you agree with me, is to decategorize these princesses from Princesses of Sweden, since they don't belong.
- If you don't agree, then it's time to bring it up at a higher level, somewhere like WT:Categories for discussion. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 03:30, 15 June 2024 (UTC)
