The Central District of Shirvan County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان شیروان) is in North Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Shirvan.[3]

Demographics

editAt the time of the 2006 National Census, the district's population was 126,928 in 31,926 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 134,455 people in 37,178 households.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 123,745 inhabitants in 37,420 households,[2] by which time the village of Ziarat had been elevated to the status of a city.[6]
