AeroBalam is a Mexican regional carrier[1] which launched operations on April 4, 2025.[2] It was created by Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar, the governor of Chiapas.[3] AeroBalam is owned by the government of the state of Chiapas,[4] and it is based at Tuxtla Gutiérrez International Airport.[1] With the aim of promoting tourism connectivity in Mexico's southern region, the carrier began operations with one Cessna Grand Caravan 208 EX,[4] seating up to nine passengers.[5]

Destinations

[edit]

The airline initially launched domestic flights within Chiapas, connecting Tuxtla Gutiérrez with the airports of Tapachula and Palenque.[2] In March 2026, it added Oaxaca and Huatulco as new destinations.[6] There are plans to add a route to Tikal, Guatemala.[7]
