Aidan Andrew Theis
Aidan Andrew Theis is a 19 year-old (Born March 5, 2005) from Elk Grove Village, Illinois known for an incident that occurred in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend multiple times. The incident resulted in his arrest and subsequent charges including attempted murder.
Incident
editOn a date shortly before the 3rd of July, 2024, police responded to a distress call at the Sonesta Suites Scottsdale Gainey Ranch hotel located near Doubletree Ranch and Scottsdale roads. The call was made by a woman who had sustained multiple stab wounds and managed to escape to the hotel lobby for help. The victim reported that she had awoken to find Theis, her boyfriend, stabbing her and was able to disarm him before seeking assistance. Emergency medical services discovered several stab wounds on her neck, back, and torso, with additional complications such as a collapsed lung. The suspect, Aidan A. Theis, had fled the scene but was soon apprehended by law enforcement officers in a nearby parking lot, where he was found with blood stains on his hands and legs.
Background
editAccording to court documents and subsequent investigations, Aidan Andrew Theis attended Elk Grove High School and had been in a relationship with the victim for approximately two years, having initially met through online gaming platforms. Their relationship was punctuated by a significant event where the victim traveled to Illinois to meet Theis, during which Theis discovered videos on her phone depicting her engaging in sexual activities with another individual. Despite this discovery, the couple attempted to reconcile, leading to Theis flying to Arizona to spend time with his girlfriend for the 4th of July holiday.
