Anuradha Gupta is an Indian-American entrepreneur and the founder of Vows for Eternity, a global matchmaking service. The company reports having members in 65 countries, including the United Kingdom, United States, India, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates. [1]

Early life and education

edit

Gupta was born and raised in Nainital, India. She completed her schooling at St. Mary's Convent College in Nainital. She later lived in several other countries, including Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.[2][3] Gupta holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School, as well as undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Economics from Isabella Thoburn College.[3] As of 2024, Gupta is enrolled in the Owner/President Management program at Harvard Business School.

Career

edit

In 2012, Gupta founded Vows for Eternity, a matchmaking service.[4] The company aims to combine elements of traditional Indian matchmaking with a modern, progressive outlook on 'arranged marriages'.[4] She earlier held a key position on the strategy team at Arsenal Football Club for six years.[3]

Gupta has stated in media interviews that her business was inspired by her own experiences with matchmaking and marriage.[5] She has expressed the view that conventional Indian matchmaking methods, such as the exchange of biodatas and resumes, were insufficient for forming successful marriages.[6]

In addition to her work with Vows for Eternity, Gupta has been involved in other entrepreneurial ventures as an angel investor.[5]

She is a member of leadership communities including the global, peer-to-peer network Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) as well as the Women Presidents Organisation (WPO), a collective of women business leaders. She is also a TEDx speaker.[7]

Personal life

edit

Gupta is married to Anand Gupta.[1] The couple has twins named Ishaan and Mehr.[8]
