Article 318 is an article of the Turkish Penal Code making it illegal to discourage conscription. Its passed in September 26, 2004.[1]
Sections
edit- Anyone who encourages or incites those who are serving in the military service to escape or discourages those who are about to join the military service from doing so shall be sentenced to imprisonment from six months to two years.
- If the act is committed through the mass media, the penalty is increased by half.
