Ayotunde Fabamwo (born October 21, 1986) also widely known as Mr. Twitch, is a Nigerian marketing expert, talent manager, and serial entrepreneur. He is the founder of House of Twitch, an event management company which are the organizers of Miss Ideal Nigeria, Mr Ideal Nigeria, Mr Teen Nigeria, Model Look Africa, Ibadan Style and Fashion Week, and Mister Africa International.[1][2][3][4]
Ayotunde was listed among the most influential people of African descent under 40 in support of the United Nations in New York City following the UN assembly.[5][6][7] He emerged Digital Marketer of the Year at the Nigerian Achievers Awards, won Fashion Icon of the Year at the African Designers Award and also got Business in Tech Award at the Eko Heritage Awards[8]
Background and education
editAyotunde was born in Lagos and hails from Ijebu-Igbo in Ogun State. He holds a degree in microbiology from Babcock University, a master's degree in Marketing Management from the Russell Group's University of Southampton, a certification in Technology Entrepreneurship from Harvard University, and a Data Analysis certification from Boston University, United States.[8]
Career
editAyotunde started the House of Twitch in 2010 with its flagship event, Mr. Ideal Nigeria, aimed at empowering young men in Nigeria physically, socially, and economically. He has hosted 15 editions so far and he later established Mr. Teen Nigeria.[9]
He went on to launch Mister Africa International at the African Center, Covent Garden, London, in 2012. The event currently has a presence in 30 African countries and has had participation from 40 countries since inception.[10][11]
In 2014 he launched the Miss Ideal Nigeria pageant, which currently sends Nigerian delegates to Miss Global Beauty Queen and Top Model of the World.[12][13]
In 2024 Ayotunde won a UK government Global Talent Scheme endorsement for digital innovation for his work in using his expertise as a digital marketer to scale Nigerian tech start-ups.[8]
