Brian Philip Davis is an Irish film editor known for his work in genre cinema.[1][2][3]


Career

Brian studied Design for Visual Communication at the Ulster University in Belfast with a year spent at Centenary University as part of the Study USA scheme.

He was the editor of Bad Day for the Cut which premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2017 and has continued to work with director Chris Baugh on many of his projects including Boys from County Hell and the TV series Wreck. He was also the editor of Damian Mc Carthy’s 2024 horror film Oddity which won the Midnighter audience award at SXSW[4] and their collaboration was highlighted by Carlos Aguilar in Variety who wrote “McCarthy and editor Brian Philip Davis deploy high-voltage moments with expert timing, using the dark to their favor in refreshing fashion.” [5]
