Comment: Notability not clearly established per WP:GNG - we need significant coverage about Sandor (in-depth; more than passing single mentions) in published reliable independent secondary sources (not his website or works by him). Tone is promotional not neutral; some assertions need citations. Paul W (talk) 21:37, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
Comment: @MCE89 Author here! Thank you for your feedback. I have revised the article according to your suggestions. Copyvio now only detects as duplicated text the name of conference venues; but, this is impossible to avoid.
Comment: @Ldm1954 Author here! Thank you for your clear feedback. I have adressed it as follows: (i) "many things like directing research is WP:MILL" => removed Section "Education and Career". (ii) "The awards are all minor" => Added new Section "Impact on Augmented Reality Research" to clarify community impact. (iii) Additionally, I have improved the quality of references. Looking forward to your feedback! 15:37, 27 Feb 2026 (UTC)
Comment: The awards are all minor, and many things like directing research is WP:MILL. It is too soon, I suggest waiting a few years. Ldm1954 (talk) 12:11, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
Comment: @NeoGaze Thanks for flagging the copied text! Just for future reference, even if the person who added text to Wikipedia is also the original author, we still can't accept anything that has previously been published elsewhere unless it's been released under a compatible license. Since this text was first published on Sandor's website, he still holds the copyright and would need to go through the steps at WP:DONATETEXT to license it in order for us to be able to use it. MCE89 (talk) 17:43, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
Comment: For the reviewer, a part of this draft features copypasted text from this subject's own website, but since he's also the creator of the draft it doesn't appear to be violating copyright. NeoGaze (talk) 19:16, 22 November 2025 (UTC)
Comment: In accordance with Wikipedia's Conflict of interest policy, I disclose that I have a conflict of interest regarding the subject of this article. ChristianSandor (talk) 12:33, 18 November 2025 (UTC)

Christian Sandor (born August 8, 1975) is a German researcher specializing in augmented reality (since the year 2000) and generative artificial intelligence (since 2018).[1]
Sandor is currently the leader of Team ARAI at LISN, a joint research lab between Université Paris-Saclay and the CNRS, in order to investigate how generative artificial intelligence can be applied to augmented reality applications.[citation needed]
At ACM SIGGRAPH 2024's Real-Time Live! event, they presented[2] the first-ever stage performance with audio-reactive visuals synchronized across several augmented reality glasses.[citation needed]
Impact on augmented reality research
[edit]The impact of Sandor's research in the augmented reality domain has been widely recognized.[citation needed] ScholarGPS ranks him as world-wide number 19 for augmented reality,[3] among more than 45,000 scholars in the field. He has received numerous awards at the premier augmented reality conference IEEE International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality.[citation needed]
His publication profile is unique[citation needed] with 90 out of 149 publications indexed by Google Scholar having the term “augmented reality” included in the title.[4]
He has served as an associate editor for the premier journal in the field (IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics) and was recognized with the “Associate Editor of the Year Award (Augmented Reality)” in 2021.[5]

Personal life
[edit]Until the age of 21, Sandor focussed on chess. Aged 19, he became blitz chess champion of Bavaria in the adult category.[11] He also managed to win a serious game[12] against GM Robert Hübner, the former number 3 in the world rankings. He then retired from serious chess in order[1] to focus on his studies at TU München, Germany.
He is married and has a daughter born 2018.[citation needed]
