Format
editThe Legends Intercontinental T20 League will follow a round-robin format, with teams competing against each other in a series of matches. The top teams will advance to the knockout[8]
stages, culminating in a grand final to determine the champion[9]. Each match will consist of 20 overs per side, adhering to the standard T20 cricket rules[10].

Opening Ceremony
editThe opening ceremony of the Legends Intercontinental T20[11] was held on 23rd May 2024 in New Delhi, India. This grand event[12] marked the official launch of the league[13], which brings together some of the most celebrated former international cricketers[14] in a unique T20 competition. The ceremony was attended by cricketing legends[15]
who graced the occasion with their presence and shared their excitement for the upcoming tournament[16] .
Trophy Launch
editThe trophy launch ceremony for the Legends Intercontinental T20 League[17] was held on 19th July 2024 in New Delhi, India[18]. This prestigious event marked the official unveiling of the trophy[19] that will be awarded to the champions of the league[20], which is set to commence in Texas, USA.
The ceremony[21] was graced by the presence of several prominent personalities, including Mr. Pradeep Sangwan, a well-known Indian cricketer, & Mr. Arun Pandey, the producer of the iconic biographical film "MS Dhoni: The Untold Story." Their attendance added a significant level of prestige to the event, highlighting the importance of the league[22] in the cricketing world.
