Nqobani Erick Mthembu (born April 05 2003), known professionally as Lil Toomne, is a South African rapper, songwriter and record producer.

Early life and Career

Nqobani Erick Mthembu was born on 05 April 2003 in Clermont, KwaZulu Natal After a lot of moving around his mother Maureen Beauty Mthembu,got a place in Hillcrest, Durban where he grew up .Mthembu never knew his father since his parents got separated when he was only a couple of months.Erick came from a very low class family with his mother working several jobs to provide for the family and also had many other side hustles.After the passing of his older brother Innocent Sphiwe Mthembu who was involved in a car accident in 2012 ,Mthembu faced another tragic moment with his mother's illness who never recovered. While he was in high school during the 10th grade Mthembu already knew he was gon pursuie his career in music.

Erick started music in primary School with the inspiration from his older brother Sakhile Godfrey Mthembu known as 2Twice who used to always play old school legends including The Notorious BIG,Pimp C,Snoop Dogg and many more,He graduated from K B High School in 2020 .
