Muhammad Hussain Rahman, known professionally as M.H.R, is an Indian hip-hop artist, record producer, and singer from Kerala. He is well known for the beats he produced as a record producer for the song "Malabari Banger" with the group Manushyar and the song "Manavalan Thug"[1] from the movie Thallumala[2].

Early Life

He was born in Kottakkal, Malappuram, Kerala. He has been a follower of EDM and hip-hop since his childhood. He started learning about the making of EDM because of his love and passion for it[3]. After his secondary education, he took EDM production as his profession.

Career

M.H.R[4] started his music career with the group Manushyar[5]. In 2021, he produced his first single Kone with Manushyar, which featured Dabzee, Joker, and SA. In the same year, he produced Chathiyan with them, featuring Dabzee.

In 2022[6], he produced the song Manavalan Thug[7], featuring Dabzee and SA, from the movie Thallumala[8]. The beats he produced for the song got very popular[9]. The track got significantly popular, featuring on the Top 40 Asian Music Chart in the Official Charts and grossing over 100 million streams[10]. Later, Muzik 247 released the making video[11] of Manavalan Thug featuring M.H.R., in which he did the breakdown of the beats.

In 2023, he produced PE PE PE, featuring Joker and SA. It was his first single[3] with Manushyar as a singer.

The same year, he produced Malabari Banger[12] with Manushyar featuring Dabzee, Joker, and SA, which rose to the charts, grossing Top 4 in the iTunes Dance Charts[13] and with over millions of streams on YouTube and Spotify[14][15].

Later in 2023, he released Thirakki Vanna Neram, his first independent work as a singer and record producer[5]. He also produced Mada Trance[16], a promo song for the movie Pulimada[17].

In 2024, he produced and performed an EDM-based EP named Vattam[2], featuring various hip-hop artists from Kerala. The EP consists of 4 songs, of which 2 were sung by him.
