Maheep Singh is an Indian stand-up comedian and storyteller from Patiala, Punjab. He is the founder of the New Delhi Comedy Club.
Career
editSingh began his stand-up career in 2013, drawing inspiration from his personal experiences and observations.[2][3] His comedic style often includes humorous takes on everyday life, relationships and societal norms.[4][5][6]
He made his debut from movie Jaspal (2024) and TV show Baked (2015).[7][8][9]
Singh is also a guest judge in the show India's Got Latent.[10][11][12]
Education
editSingh completed Master of Arts (English Literature) from Himachal Pradesh University in 2005.
Controversies
editHeated Argument with Rakhi Sawant
editIn October 2024, Singh was involved in a heated argument with actress Rakhi Sawant on the set of the India's Got Latent. The disagreement escalated, leading Sawant to throw a chair on stage and walk off.[13][14][15]
The exact reason behind the argument remains unclear, but it sparked widespread discussion and speculation on social media. Some viewers believed the incident was staged for publicity, while others thought it was a genuine clash.[16][17][18]
