Minions 3 is an upcoming American animated comedy film produced by Illumination and distributed by Universal Pictures. It serves as the sequel to Minions: The Rise of Gru (2022), the third entry in the Minions film series, and the seventh overall entry in the Despicable Me franchise. The film is directed by Pierre Coffin, and produced by Chris Meledandri and Bill Ryan, from a screenplay written by Brian Lynch.
Minions 3 is scheduled to be released in the United States on June 30, 2027.

editIn July 2024, it was announced that a sequel to Minions: The Rise of Gru (2022) was in development, with Pierre Coffin directing, Brian Lynch writing the screenplay, and Chris Meledandri and Bill Ryan serving as producers.[1]
Release
editMinions 3 is scheduled to be released in the United States on June 30, 2027.[1]
As part of Universal's long-term deal with Netflix, the film will stream on Peacock for the first four months of the pay-TV window, before moving to Netflix for the next ten, and returning to Peacock for the remaining four.[2][3]
