- Comment: The references are routine announcements of films and not about the director (only passing mentions). I did find two references in a Google search that talks more in-depth about him but both are negative and both from unreliable sources. CNMall41 (talk) 20:18, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: I think this is close but needs better referencing to show notability. Currently, The Hollywood Reporter is the only article that could be used for notability. The Indie Wrap falls under WP:NEWSORGINDIA and needs to be removed. The others are about the films and mention him, but are not in-depth about him. Are you able to provide additional sourcing that talks more in-depth about him and not just the films? If so, ping me here and I will come back to review once added. Mohit Ramchandani is an American film director and producer, best known for his work on the film City of Dreams, a drama that explores the harsh realities of child trafficking and modern-day slavery.
Early Life and Career
editMohit Ramchandani has been a Hollywood indie producer[1], associate producer, co-producer, and executive producer since 2002[2] He was born in Mumbai, India, and raised in London. He currently resides in the United States, where he developed a passion for storytelling and filmmaking. He began his career in the entertainment industry, gaining experience in various roles before transitioning into directing. Ramchandani has signed with Gersh and has several new films set for release, including City of Dreams.[3] [4] He worked on the next movies: Two Days (2003), The Lost Tribe (2009), The Forgotten Ones (2009), The Vault (2017), City of Dreams (2024).
City of Dreams
editRamchandani's directorial debut, City of Dreams[5], is a powerful drama inspired by real-life events, including the 1995 El Monte Sweatshop Case and recent investigations into the exploitation of migrant children. The film stars Jason Patric and Diego Calva and was produced with the assistance of executive producers Tony Robbins and Michael Phillips.[6] City of Dreams premiered at the Mammoth Film Festival in March 2023 and is scheduled for a wide release in August 2024.[7] Ex-Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and Oscar winner Mira Sorvino joined Mohit Ramchandani feature ‘City of Dreams’ as exec producers in August 2024.

editIn addition to City of Dreams, Ramchandani is working on his next project, titled Asphyxia.[8] This film, produced in collaboration with Hunt Lowry, follows a survival story set during a marine biology expedition that goes awry.
