Movimiento is the Latino caucus in the Minnesota DFL.[3]

In 2008, Movimiento had only 30 paying members.

In 2010, Movimiento endorsed R.T. Rybak for mayor of Minneapolis. Movimiento's chairman at that time was Erick Garcia Luna.[4]

The original name for the organization was the 'Latino Caucus', however this was changed to Movimiento in 2022 in an effort led by María Isa Pérez-Vega during her successful campaign to be elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives.[5]
