Oleksandr Viktorovych Dvornichenko - (born May 4, 1987, in Kharkiv) Ukrainian musician (violist), public figure, and former director of the Youth Academic Symphony Orchestra "Slobozhansky".
Education
editIn 2012, he graduated from the Kharkiv National Kotlyarevsky University of Arts with a degree in orchestral performance, chamber ensemble performance, research, and teaching.[1]
Career
editDvornichenko started his professional career in 2005. Initially, he worked as a musician with the Youth Academic Symphony Orchestra "Slobozhansky." Since 2015, he has served as the orchestra's deputy director.
He regularly performs with famous musicians, such as Daniil Austrih, Oleksiy Stadler, László Fenyö, Dionysis Grammemos, Kyrylo Karabyts, Juan Carlos Fernandez-Nieto, Arkady Shilkloper, Theodor Kuchar, and Oleksandr Tsymbalyuk.
Projects
editUnder the initiative and active participation of Oleksandr Dvornichenko, the Youth Orchestra of Kharkiv has performed alongside several renowned national and international musicians, including Arkady Shilkloper, Daniil Austrih (Germany), Oleksiy Stadler, Elisabeth Pitcairn, Dionysis Grammemos (Greece), Christopher Bush (USA), Valeriy Sokolov (Ukraine-Germany), Oleksiy Semenenko, Oleksiy Shadrin, and others. The orchestra has also worked with renowned conductors such as Kyrylo Karabyts (Ukraine-UK), Theodor Kuchar (USA), Allin Vlasenko (Ukraine), Petro Tovstukha (Ukraine), Vitaliy Protasov (Ukraine), Yuriy Yakovenko (Ukraine), Viktoriya Zhadyko (Ukraine), Esko Sirvend (Germany), and others.
Dvornichenko is also the creator of the project "Ice Symphony," a unique event in Ukraine featuring figure skaters performing to live symphonic music on ice. This cultural and sports event is held annually in Kharkiv at the Saltivskyi Ice Complex.
Public Activities
editIn 2012, Oleksandr Dvornichenko, along with his brother Serhiy Dvornichenko, founded the international charitable project "Classical Extravaganza", which aims to promote classical music among children and youth, raise funds for children's healthcare and educational institutions, and draw public attention to charitable causes. The project is implemented with the support of the Charitable Foundation "Zabota," with Dvornichenko serving as the artistic director. The project organizes classical music concerts with renowned musicians, offering 60% of the seats to musically gifted children and children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. The funds raised from ticket sales are donated to children's institutions. Some of the musicians involved include Daniil Austrih, László Fenyö, Kyrylo Karabyts, Arkady Shilkloper, Theodor Kuchar, and Oleksandr Tsymbalyuk.
Dvornichenko is also one of the founders and leaders of the International Public Organization "Culture and Development", which initiated and supported the awarding of scholarships for musicians from the Youth Academic Symphony Orchestra "Slobozhansky" from patrons. In 2019, the organization organized the All-Ukrainian Charity Festival of Children's and Youth Performing Arts "Music Workshop," where the jury, led by American violinist Elisabeth Pitcairn, evaluated the participants, and the winners were awarded a free four-week trip to the Luzerne Music Centre in the USA.
