Péter Fried, a Hungarian operatic singer is renowned as a principal soloist at the Hungarian State Opera. He has been honored with prestigious awards including: e.g.: Liszt-Prize, Bartók-Award , Artisjus-prize. He had success with his most important roles from U.S.A.- to Japan, e.g.: Sarastro, Ramfis, Osmin, Colline, Gremin, Seneca, Rocco, Timur, DonBasilio, Alidoro, DonAlfonso, Philippo II, Guardian, Banquo, Arkel, Plutone.
His memorable performances: Wagner’s Tannhauser, Wagner’s Lohengrin, Schönberg: Die Glückliche Hand Verdi’s Requiem, Donizetti: Lammermoor’s Lucia, Goldmark: Die Königin’s Shaeba, Bartók: Bluebeard’s Castle.

Bartók's Bluebeard's Castle's among was performed by Péter Fried and conducted by Péter Eötvös, and the CD of this performance in Stuttgart has won a Grammy Award nomination. Since 2014 Péter Fried has been Professor in the Franz Liszt Music Academy of Budapest.
